Thompson woe for Bulls.

Hereford are set to be without O'Neil Thompson for the visit to Chesterfield. The Jamaican midfielder has been struggling for fitness since sustaining a groin injury prior to the Bulls 1-0 opening day triumph at Crewe. Thompson has been held back from first-team training this week and is targeting a return when Rotherham visit Edgar Street on August 28. Kenny Lunt is pushing for a starting berth after dropping to the bench for last weekend's 0-0 draw against Gillingham. However, Thompson is manager Simon Davey's only injury concern meaning competition for a starting place will remain fierce. Davey's men will be the second league visitors to Chesterfield's new b2net Stadium. Jake Jervis and Marc Pugh were on target as the Bulls won the final encounter between the two sides at Saltergate 2-1 last season.
