Macclesfield Town have confirmed that Saturday's League Two match at Hereford United will go ahead.The fixture was in doubt following the sudden death of the Silkmen's manager Keith Alexander on Tuesday night.

But following discussions between Moss Rose officials and his family it has been decided the game should be played.

Assistant manager Gary Simpson said: "It's going to be tough and emotional but his son Matt was adamant that Keith would want the game to go ahead."
