Lincoln City have agreed a compensation deal with Hereford United for Canada international Gavin McCallum. It means the clubs will not now need to go to a Football League tribunal to determine a fee for the player.

Lincoln signed the 22-year-old former Weymouth and Yeovil player on a two-year deal last month.

Hereford were entitled to compensation for McCallum because although he was out of contract, he was under 24 and had been offered a new deal.

Meanwhile, Lincoln say they are still in negotiations with Torquay United over a fee for winger Mustapha Carayol, who also agreed a move to Sincil Bank last month.
