Adamson is happy to offer guidance to his fellow shot-stopper at Edgar Street and told the club's official website: "Adam's a good professional and he works extremely hard and it's proven by the performances he's putting on this season.

"I'll just as much as I can whenever possible to help him out and give him advice if he wants it and needs it. If it makes him a better player and a better person then great."

Adamson, who is also the club's second-choice goalkeeper, added: "If the opportunity does come along then I'm definitely ready. As a player I want to play and I want to grab that chance so that's why it's a bit difficult.

"But Adam's there and he's doing well and fair play to him and long may it continue. If something does happen to him and I'm needed then I'm going in there and giving it 100% to try and make it as difficult as possible."
